Yogi Bhajan

Yogi Bhajan

Declared Master of Kundalini Yoga at the age of 16, Yogi Bhajan came from India to the United States with a stated mission : ‘I have not come to gather disciples but to train the Teachers of tomorrow.’ For the rest of his life, he travelled internationally teaching Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, the householders yoga. He arrived in the West in 1969 and died in 2004 after having travelled and taught throughout the whole planet.

March 2020: A statement in light of recent allegations against Yogi Bhajan:
Ik Saran Dhian, has a zero tolerance policy with regards to abuse of power, sexual abuse and any form of exploitation or bullying.
We stand for empowerment, truth, kindness and understanding.
The governing bodies of Kundalini Yoga have launched an investigation, run by an independent organisation, to find the truth regarding the allegations against Yogi Bhajan.  Our school is in full support of this.
We will continue to teach Kundalini Yoga and run Teacher Trainings because hundreds of thousands of people have been empowered by these teachings and have transformed their lives in positive ways.

As human beings and as Teachers we are called to make a difference between the message and the messenger.  The mans behaviour is in question but the authenticity of the yogic technology is not.

We have always and will continue, to bring people to the Teachings, rather than focus on Yogi Bhajan.
